Great place for a day out with the family, the site offers free parking. The castle is open daily with free entry, there is a cafe and gift shop on site with a little play park for the children with toilets situated next to the park wth a kiosk selling ice lollies and drinks. You can even bring a picnic as lots of benches and picnic areas. There's lots of nature walks with farm animals and deer,

Great place to stop for a picnic and leisurely walk. It's free to park and to enter. As you enter there are deer in large enclosure. There are 3 different walks to do, which are marked with colour coded posts. We did the farm walk, our children enjoyed seeing animals up close. There is also a children's play area next to the toilet block

Always love coming to this park. Very peaceful, as I found a bench away from the normal pathways. Lots of space to spread out a blanket to relax on the grass, or there are various walks that can be taken. Details can be found on information boards throughout the park. Blue skies and birds singing their sweet songs, the sound of the rustle of the trees, made for a relaxing time. A must if you need to unwind. Highly recommend.

Didn't get a chance to tour inside the castle but had been in before and it is amazing. Great collection of medieval artefacts. Grounds are beautiful. I believe they do have animals to view but we only saw some birds and deer. Well worth a visit.
