Crail is a working fishing village on the Fife coast, built around a picturesque harbour and ringed by sandy beaches. Island View sits in the conservation village itself, with views towards the Firth of Forth from the front and countryside stretching behind. The beach is a short walk away, and the village lanes hold galleries, potteries, cafes and restaurants alongside the working fishery that supplies fresh lobster, crab and locally caught fish to the harbourside.
The cottage sleeps 6 across four bedrooms: two kingsize rooms with televisions, a single on the ground floor, and a fourth single upstairs. There are three bathrooms between them—one ensuite, one shower room, and a family bathroom with a bath and shower. The ground floor has a living room with a 42-inch television and DVD player, a kitchen and dining room with an electric oven and gas hob opening onto a patio, and a utility room with a washing machine. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided. On-site parking includes a garage for one car and additional private spaces for two more. A bike store and enclosed rear patio with garden furniture are available. The property does not permit smoking.
From here, the Fife Coastal Path offers miles of walking to other fishing villages and beaches. Anstruther, a few miles east, runs regular boat trips to the Isle of May for wildlife watching. St Andrews is a short drive away with its historic centre and famous golf courses; the Kingdom of Fife altogether has around 50 courses, including Balcomie at Crail—the seventh oldest in the world.
