Moncrieff House

Moncrieff House sleeps eight across four bedrooms and three bathrooms in the conservation village of Falkland. The ground floor has a living room, kitchen-dining room with range cooker, dishwasher, American fridge freezer, air fryer and slow cooker, plus a bedroom with double bed and bathroom. Upstairs are three further bedrooms, each with zip-and-link super kingsize beds that convert to singles on request, a second sitting room, shower room with walk-in shower, and an ensuite. The kitchen is genuinely well equipped for cooking; a washer-dryer is built into a cupboard, and wi-fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.

An enclosed rear garden with sitting-out area and furniture provides outdoor space. Parking is available on the road outside. The house does not permit smoking. Groups of eight, or smaller parties wanting plenty of space, will find the layout straightforward: two living areas mean people can spread out, and the three bathrooms mean less negotiation over the morning schedule. Falkland itself is a working village with shops and pubs; the ruins of Falkland Palace are nearby.
