This detached house in Anstruther dates from an era when the fishing village was thriving, and it retains that sense of solid, lived-in character. The property sits just five minutes' walk from the working harbour and the town's award-winning beaches, making it ideal for families who want the coast on their doorstep without being perched on the seafront itself. A five-minute stroll takes you past local shops, pubs and seafood restaurants; a children's play area is even closer.
The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs there's a combined living and dining room with a smart TV and French doors opening to an enclosed garden, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Upstairs holds three bedrooms: two doubles and a single, served by a bathroom with a bath and shower, and an ensuite shower room attached to one of the double rooms. A separate downstairs toilet is handy. The house sleeps five and comes with everything you need: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, wi-fi, and parking for two cars (one in the garage, one on the drive). A cot and highchair are available if needed.
The enclosed garden has patio seating and a barbecue, and there's a bike store for exploring further afield. St Andrews, home of golf, is nine miles away; a local nine-hole links course is half a mile off. Water sports and boat trips to the Isle of May are among the activities close by. The house is non-smoking.
