We had such an amazing stay at this newly opened campsite! Everything was beautifully kept and you can really tell how much care has gone into maintaining the site. Being part of Forestry England made it even more special. There are so many fantastic trails right on your doorstep, including the Julia Donaldson trails like The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, which were a huge hit with the kids. There’s plenty to keep children entertained, from multiple play areas to great bike riding trails. It’s the perfect spot for a family getaway. What really made our stay stand out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond for the children, greeting them with Easter colouring pages, sweets, chocolate, and stickers. They even organised a lovely Easter egg hunt on Sunday, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, family friendly outdoor break!

Absolutely lovely site, wardens were very friendly and helpful.facilities are brilliant, there is easy access to the trails from campsite.Very peaceful, plenty of space. Wildlife is amazing, there were geese in the central wooded area in the evening, the crows are pretty friendly as well. Cannot fault. Wish all wardens were as welcoming. They were brilliant. Will definitely be returning soon UPDATE:- returned just over a month later and found it the same, until the Friday evening, when a few more arrived on site, no problem, until a family (parked opposite me) decided to turn a peaceful place into a less than peaceful place. So if u want peace and quiet whilst here, I’d probably avoid the weekends.

Lovely small campsite. Was perfect for a relaxing campervan weekend with lots of dog walks in the woods. Site is very well maintained and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Kev and Fi who checked us in were quick to answer any questions and helped us when we had some trouble with our van.

The first time we’ve been back to Fineshade with the site under new management. A nice welcome and friendly wardens. There is a new toilet block which is going to be a huge asset to the site along with the additional toilets at the cafe centre across the road. Pricing structure very reasonable for EHU and the usual CDP etc. This site offers great walks immediately from the site and cafe etc very close by. There is now the addition of tents so great for folk wanting a more down to earth get away. No pot washing as yet although I believe plans are afoot for this in the near future. We stayed for 2 nights in a motorhome and will definitely stay again. We understand that the site is not currently open for 12 months of the year but the website for booking is very straight forward and self explanatory.
