What visitors say
Absolutely beautiful campsite. Family friendly, lots of young children, but my older children still enjoyed the stay as much as the younger ones. The stream is beautiful and cool, really clean looking with small fish and dragonflies in abundance. Firepits really add to the experience. You can hire a small or large one at reasonable costs. The site was very well set up and maintained and you can choose your own pitch (if you are non-electric) which is nice. It is so much more than just a field, it has trees of varying maturity dotted around so feels really private. Staff did a great job keeping the toilets and showers clean the whole time - seems they never stop working! The shop was well stocked and had loads of extras - fresh coffee in the mornings and chilled chocolate bars in the fridge two of my favourites. There is also a huge games teepee with table football and table tennis. And other outdoor games such as jenga and connect 4. Basically too much to do in the 2 days we stayed - we will have to visit again! Thoroughly recommend this campsite and our thanks go to the owners for the lovely minibreak we have just had.

We loved our two night stay at Cuckoo Farm! The site is clean and well maintained, and the toilets and showers worked great. The farm shop serves ice cream, coffee, eggs, meat etc - this is a lovely touch! There is so much open space for children to run around in, and also little wooded areas too. The river access is fabulous - we were lucky enough to be visiting in a heatwave and our two children spent so much time on the tree swing, and splashing and exploring the river bank. We would love to return!

We did struggle to find the site but it's just west down the track from this point. Other than that we had a lovely stay and felt that the owners had considered where to put us (2 adults and a dog) as we were away from the groups of campers which was perfect. We had a lovely view of the sheep field. Toilets were clean and the showers were spacious with a bench! Everything had been considered including a little hairdryer. There is a little shop on site too. The campsite is on a slope so would recommend leveling ramps. Loved watching the family of Red Kites flying around. Well loved feel to the site. Dog friendly.

A perfect campsite. Wilderness, natural softening of the pitches with trees, sheep, farm shop impeccable toilet block, lovely owners. I’m only sorry we were stopping through and not staying longer. Will absolutely be back
