Swallow Cottage is a ground-floor property where everything unfolds on one level. You enter to find a combined living and dining room, then a kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and the usual appliances. Three bedrooms lead off—two with double beds and one with two singles—served by a bathroom with tub and shower, plus a separate shower room. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are all provided. An external utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is shared with other properties on the development.
The cottage sits within a small exclusive community centred on a natural pond where resident and rescue swans and ducks live. Behind the house is a lawned garden with seating and tables; there is also a fenced pond in the grounds. Two cars can park on site. One dog can stay free of charge, and there is an enclosed exercise area where pets can run safely, though the garden itself is not fully fenced. The location sits between Singleton village and Poulton-le-Fylde town, roughly 15 minutes from Blackpool and ten from Cleveleys. Lytham St Annes is about 25 minutes away. No smoking is permitted. Children and groups are welcome; hen and stag parties are not.

We stayed in Swallow Cottage for 3 nights and I can thoroughly recommend it. It is spacious, very comfortable and clean, and well equipped. Irene, the owner, is very helpful and considerate of individual needs. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the Fylde Coast, and perfect for anyone who needs ground floor accommodation. Car parking space is close to the property which is great for loading and unloading. The grounds are extensive and well maintained. We will hopefully stay again.

We have stayed at Swans Rest many times over the years in several of the properties situated in such a beautiful environment. Every visit has been great and thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my life-love Susie, the owner is welcoming and has ensured excellent accommodation with homely touches. We hope to visit again …

Had a wonderful stay in the heron lodge,was lovely warm and cosy and very well equipped. Kids loved the wildlife pond with ducks and swans being so close to the lodge and liked to watch the beautiful birds in the avery. Would reommend to anyone and we will definately stay here again,fabulous place to stay.

Returned to Swans Rest again after such a great time in June but chose to stay in a cottage this time. Irene and her staff go over and above to make sure that you have everything you need in the accommodation for your stay. We have never stayed anywhere that is so well equipped. Lovely spacious cottage, nice having a separate shower and bathroom rather than having one ensuite. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms and lovely comfy beds. Great wi fi and freeview tv, still able to watch Netflix etc. Right next door to the orchard and a lovely space to sit out. Loved the little aviary. Lots of places to go, and near to Blackpool but without the hustle and bustle. Nice places to eat nearby, loved the Koi Pool and Burnside Garden Centre literally minutes away. If you don't want to cook there are lots of places to order in via the apps, can recommend Seniors fish and chips (they have their own online ordering). The supermarkets also deliver so you can order all your groceries while you are there. We can highly recommend staying at Swans Rest and we will definitely be booking again next year.
