Swans Rest - Woodpecker Lodge

Woodpecker Lodge works well for families wanting a quiet base with room to spread out, or couples after a peaceful retreat. The three bedrooms sleep six: a double with ensuite, and two rooms with single beds apiece. There's a family bathroom too. Everything is on the ground floor, with the main living space—lounge, dining area and kitchen—opening onto a terrace that overlooks the pond at the heart of the small development where the lodge sits. You can cook properly, with an electric oven and gas hob, and laundry facilities are available on-site.

One dog stays free. Parking for two cars is included, as are wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels. Smoking is not permitted. The location puts you between Singleton and Poulton-le-Fylde, with the Fylde Coast fifteen minutes away—Blackpool is within reach for the tower, pleasure beach and zoo, while Cleveleys offers a quieter seaside, and Lytham St Annes is about twenty-five minutes further on. Those without a car will find the countryside setting limiting; the lodge suits visitors with transport who want both relaxation and easy access to the coast.
