What visitors say
The most northerly CCC site and definitely worth visiting. The views out to loch ewe are stunning. It’s just down the road from Inverewe gardens and the site itself is a bit like an ornamental garden with beautiful plants and shrubs throughout. The site wardens are really friendly and welcoming and the toilet block is now back open (July 26). All the facilities are spotlessly clean. Poolewe itself has a shop and two restaurants/bars and nearby Gairloch has bigger shops including a farm shop, co-op and Morrisons daily. The whole area is stunning with amazing views in every direction. The site is quite open and being at the edge of the loch you don’t get bothered with midges we found, just the odd one first thing in the morning and last thing at night but nothing to worry about. There is a road running past but it’s not on a fast section and it’s not busy, no traffic at all in the evenings and overnight. We will definitely return, it’s going on our list of favourites.

Unfortunately at the time of our visit the toilets and showers were not available. Site was lovely so were the staff. Great views. Site was tidy.

What an amazing sight it has gone to the top of my list in the camping & caravan club sites. Friendly helpful staff everywhere immaculate. We were a week into our holiday so it was nice to be able to use the washing machine £3.50 cash. There was a drier that used tokens purchased from reception but the weather was kind & dried outside. The views from the site are forever changing & plenty of places to visit from the site. We will definitely be back next year
