Bwthyn Pen Bryn opens directly into a living room with a smart TV, followed by a kitchen and dining space equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine are all here. The ground floor also contains a double bedroom and shower room, making this layout useful for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. Upstairs are two further double bedrooms, one with a zip-and-link bed that can split into singles on request. A separate toilet is located on the first floor. The cottage sleeps six and comes with essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi; travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available for families with young children.

A single pet stays free. The enclosed back garden provides outdoor space, and there is on-road parking outside. The cottage sits on a hill near Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf, with a pub within a mile and Cwmbach Food Store nearby for supplies. No smoking is permitted inside. The property retains original features including a stone staircase. On-site bike storage makes it a practical base for cycling into the surrounding valleys.

Stayed in the beehive cottage for my short visit over the weekend, and I'm already thinking of when to return. Brilliant value for money, cosy cottage and a short 5 minute drive into town. The perfect base for an affordable outdoorsy break, Hot tub was out of order during my visit and was informed of this beforehand, so if that's something you're interested in it may be worth calling ahead. 5 ⭐

I stayed in Beehive Cottage & can't fault this place at all. Everything catered for. All you have to do is bring your own food if your not eating out. It was a great location for me as I visit family in Aberdare & Mountain Ash, so it's in the middle of both. Very friendly owners, very clean cottages and its very quiet. You also have your own mini garden/patio to sit out in. Very relaxed atmosphere. There's also a hot tub available for an additional fee. Would highly recommen, much cheaper than some hotels.

Me and my partner had a brilliant stay at the honeypot cottage. Such a lovely place and in a beautiful location. An amazing price and the hot tub was to die for, so relaxing! I highly recommend it.

Me and my partner had a lovely short stay at Penybryn Cottages. We stayed in the Beehive cottage and it was such a cosy space, and comes with a private hot tub to enjoy. The hosts are lovely and friendly and the location had lovely views down into the valley. We will be returning for a longer stay in the future.
