About ibis Glasgow City Centre Sauchiehall St

ibis Glasgow City Centre Sauchiehall St suits travellers who want a straightforward, well-placed base rather than a fussy stay. It works for weekend shoppers, business visitors and anyone passing through who wants to be close to the action without paying over the odds, with rooms priced across a wide range to suit different budgets.

The hotel has 141 rooms spread across six floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, and some rooms offer city views. There's a restaurant and bar on site, a varied breakfast to start the day, and practical extras including luggage storage, laundry service and business facilities. Accessible rooms are available, and pets are welcome. There's no parking at the property, so those driving in should plan accordingly. Maintenance is a little inconsistent in places, so don't expect everything to be pristine.

The location puts guests within reach of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, plus a golf course for those wanting to fit in a round. Staff are consistently helpful, and the combination of central position and fair pricing makes it a sensible choice for a no-frills Glasgow stay.

My stay was quite satisfying overall. The rooms had a good design, though I noticed they didn't seem fully equipped for summer weather. A nice perk was the £5 voucher for skipping housekeeping; it was a pleasant surprise and definitely helped fund a refreshing beer! 🍻 The service and morning breakasft were was also great. 👍

A clean, comfortable & well equipped hotel in a great area on the city fringe. We received friendly service & liked our accommodation. Breakfast buffet was excellent! Lots of options for a hearty, delicious breakfast to start the day! A short walk to restaurants & a 24hr laundromat were a bonus! ⭐️🤩⭐️

A good ambassador for the Ibis brand. From check in to check out, friendly & helpful staff. Clean hotel and rooms. Simple late night pizza was very tasty. Only one lift in service which means stairs coming down was quicker. Room was really too warm on a relatively cool night in Glasgow & the fan provided was broken.

Location is convenient for Glasgow City Centre within walking distance of restaurants, pubs and Buchanan Street; Room was comfortable and clean with a decent size showers but the AC does not cool the room (has an odd setting / instructions that it only cools below 21degC and heats above this .. so we could not set the room temp); the window doesnt open wide (locked by a cable) so the room was stuffy and over-heated. Parking is a nightmare. I wouldnt stay here again just because of the parking; the directions to the parking were confusing (referred to as Elmbank Crescent Parking but the parking is in fact labelled as "Charing Cross City Parking" .. we ended up driving around the block 3x to find the parking; pedestrian access to the parking could only be made via the driving ramps .. the pedestrian access doors are locked from the outside; we paid £24 for 18 hours of parking.
