About Dakota Glasgow
Dakota's Glasgow property sits on West Regent Street in the heart of the grid, a short walk from Central and Queen Street stations. The style is consistent across the group: charcoal tones, low lighting, heavy fabrics and a deliberately clubby feel that reads as expensive without being formal.
Bedrooms are generously sized by city-centre standards, with big beds, blackout curtains and marble bathrooms. Soundproofing is good, which matters on a street this central. Rates start around £140 a night, with dinner and stay packages offered from roughly £235.
The Dakota Grill and the adjoining bar draw a local crowd as well as residents, working through steaks, seafood and a decent cocktail list. The hotel is about fifteen minutes from Glasgow Airport by taxi and within easy walking distance of the shopping streets, the Lighthouse and the Merchant City. It is a strong choice for a short weekend where you want everything on foot.

What guests say
We stayed in this hotel with my partner 1 night on Monday 6.07.26. Room was incredible, everything very clean and fresh. Atmosphere in hotel very positive and you feel welcome there from first minute of checking in to last minute to checking out. All stuff was so friendly and helpful and anything we needed we been servin so fast. Reception girls very lovely and professional. Another big thank you for Lucy and James and all other stuff! High quality of the service and they professionally looked after guests. Is not everywhere you can find great service as Dacota. So thank you so much and we definitely will be back. Now is numbers 1 hotel in Glasgow for us.

Excellent refuge in the heart of Glasgow! Fine attention to detail in the rooms and throughout the entire hotel. Spacious well-appointed rooms, grand comfort, hushed ambiance, sleek yet warm and inviting design. Sparkling clean! Cocktails at the bar were top notch. A special mention for the receptionist Kseniia who really understands the meaning of hospitality and making an excellent first impression: such a warm welcome, proactive in anticipating guests’ needs, amiable, professional ! Thank you, it makes a difference!

Fantastic Hotel with an absolute gem of a cigar terrace for cigar lovers in the city of Glasgow. The cigar terrace is a quiet comfortable area with outdoor heaters, keeping you warm even on the coldest of days. This location is the only real location to sit and enjoy a cigar from either their extensive in house cigar menu or if you prefer to bring your own and enjoy a hot or cold beverage and some food. Staff are always attentive and professional. This is one of my regular locations to visit with friends to enjoy a cigar.

The room was clean and comfortable as you would expect. What did let our stay down was the service in the restaurant. We booked a table early as we were going on to see a show. However, the meal took an hour to arrive and then my steak was overcooked. At breakfast the service was again very slow. We ordered coffee and toast which hadn't arrived even after our main breakfast arrived. We had to remind staff to bring out the drinks. We have stayed and dined here a few times but it seems to have deteriorated over the years. I would expect better for the money it cost.
