About McLays Guest House
Four adjoining townhouses on Renfrew Street have been knocked together to form McLays Guest House, a straightforward budget option in the heart of Glasgow. With 81 rooms spread across the combined buildings, it's a sizeable operation for a guest house, though the rooms themselves stick to the basics rather than aiming for anything more.
Breakfast is included, and free Wi-Fi covers the public areas of the property. Free on-site parking is a genuine plus for a city-centre address, saving guests the hassle and expense of hunting for a space nearby. Luggage storage is also available, useful for those catching early trains or fitting in extra sightseeing before checkout.
The surrounding area has plenty going on, with pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries all within easy reach, along with entertainment venues nearby. The Scottish Event Campus is close by for anyone attending a conference or show, and Glasgow Queen Street station is a short distance away, making this a practical base for exploring the city without expecting frills.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL DO NOT STAY HERE! me and my daughter had been staying here for the past three days and this place is invested in mice my daughter said to me she could hear noises during the night and she woke up for school today and one mouse came running out from behind the fridge and she jamp on the bed screaming we where both terrified we couldn’t get off the bed as it ran under and we had to call reception and they where very calm as if they knew they had mice and we’ve spoke to other people and they had said they had loads of them too so I highly dont recommend sorry long review

Do not recomend at all!! Awful and very sickening place, there were mice all over the room couldn’t sleep the whole night scared the it would do anything to us. Overall terrifying experience be ready to not sleep at night. The carpet is old the rooms smell the wardrobe is broken, the bathroom had an awful smell we had to wash it ourself’s to be usable just don’t do it go get yourself a better hotel or SLEEP AT THE PARK!! We complained to the reception they told us to try and “go back to sleep”, just don’t do it!! go to a hotel please!! Second night might as well make it a vlog now just saw another MICE IN THE ESTING AREA!! Jessssssuuu hide your food yall!!!!

It's not bad definitely deserves more ratings lovely service and nice staff. The breakfast is good but they serve the same thing everyday and I would expect something different. Rooms are alright what you would expect from a hotel bathroom is a bit small. Overall great hotel.

Full Scottish breakfast also continental breakfast cereal yogurt etc. Every food you could wish for at breakfast fresh coffee tea and fruit juice. Friendly staff very helpful. The room was extremely clean and fresh towels daily. Highly recommended.
