🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

The Cider House

A former cider barn converted into a two-bedroom holiday home, The Cider House retains period character alongside modern comfort. The ground floor opens into one generous living space where a wood burner occupies a central position, with a sofa bed doubling as sleeping space if needed. The kitchen handles full self-catering, and a single bathroom serves the property. Upstairs, two bedrooms sleep five: one with a king bed, the other with a king and a single. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; initial fuel for the wood burner is supplied.

The property stands on working farmland surrounded by typical Somerset countryside, with a pond nearby and sheep grazing in the surrounding fields. Dogs are welcome provided they stay on leads. Three cars can park on site, and the grounds include a sitting-out area where you can settle with a view across the land. A bike store is available for exploring the walking country that surrounds the cottage. The name reflects the building's origins—the original apple press remains as a feature of the interior. Families, groups and couples all find it suits their needs; the combination of working farm setting and proximity to Glastonbury makes it accessible whether you want rural quiet or access to nearby attractions.
