About Tudor Caravan and Camping Park
Tudor Caravan and Camping Park enjoys a peaceful canal-side position beside the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal at Slimbridge, around twelve miles south of Gloucester. The park's well-kept grounds spread across two large camping fields—one with electric hook-up, one without—and there's a modern facilities block with showers. Caravans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome, and the site stays open year-round.
The on-site Tudor Arms pub sits right beside the water, while bike hire and fishing let you make the most of the towpath or try your luck on the canal. An adults-only section suits couples after a quieter stay, and the proximity to Slimbridge's Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserve—a short walk away—makes this a strong choice for wildlife enthusiasts. Gloucester and the Cotswold edge villages lie an easy twenty-minute drive north.

Great location. Friendly welcome. Well spaced pitches. Clean toilets and showers. Washing and drying facilities although we did not use them. Nice roast dinner in the cafe just a few steps away. Very close to the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. We paid £30 per night, incl electric. Would re visit and definitely recommend.

Lovely, peaceful site. Pub at the entrance does good food. Turn left out of site for a drink by the canal, or take a walk along it. Facilities are nice and clean. Would recommend

I was hiking through the area a while back on a bank holiday Friday and came across this site, which I was pleased about as I wanted to explore the village so decided to camp at this site. The lady on the counter pointed on the map at the end field and told me this was their "dark skies" field and currently had nobody in it. So, there I pitched where there were no lights and then went walking around the village for the day. When I got back, I was almost still the only person there, other than two vans parked directly opposite my tent in this huge field with so many other options, with their van's lights pointed directly at my tent, luckily they didn't switch them on. Until about 10pm that night. Despite me speaking to them and asking not to point their lights at my tent, lights were flashing on and off all night. So much for the “Dark Skies Field”. And noisy, too. Spoke to the woman at the desk the next morning, did not give a damn. And holy cow what an attitude she had, snarky as hell, she almost seemed to enjoy dismissing the issue. I did explain to her that I'll be leaving this review so others don't end up having similar experiences, though reading the reviews perhaps I should have read before staying there. What an awful place. This site is a haven for chavvy and rough families, if that's you and your lot great you'll love it there. If you're a decent human being, probably move on to the next site to be honest. I've also seen this park responding argumentatively to poor reviews. They can carry on I shalln't be reading it and they don't seem to realise it makes them look real ugly when they do anyway. So please, say what you like. It just makes you look really bad. Just to add in case he ever reads this, to the maintenance man older fella working there, lovely chap he was, explaining some things he was doing and needed doing to this awful woman behind the counter. He and I shared a few happy words, genuinely lovely guy, so I was utterly disgusted after he walked away and the nasty woman on the counter started rolling her eyes and apologising on his behalf. For what I have no idea, but her attitude towards him was absolutely repulsive. Why anyone would work around someone like her is beyond me, poor guy must just need the job that much.
