I honestly can’t thank everyone at Spring Garden Guest House enough for everything they did for me and my two girls. They accommodated us at the very last minute over Christmas 2025, which of course is such a busy time of year, and from the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome. No problem was ever too big for them to sort, and nothing was ever too much trouble. What started as somewhere to stay quickly became somewhere that felt like home, so much so it felt really sad leaving! During one of the toughest times in our lives, we were shown so much kindness, compassion and support. We were welcomed as if we were part of the family, and my daughters were loved and cared for as if they were their own. They gave us a safe roof over our heads for seven months, but they gave us so much more than just accommodation. We made friendships with me and built a strong bond with my girls that I know will last a lifetime, not only with the amazing people who run the guest house but also with some of the wonderful guests we met during our stay there. Spring Garden Guest House is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Gosport. The kindness, generosity and genuine care shown to us is something I’ll always be grateful for. A massive thank you to Mike, Jo, Heather, Malcolm and Debbie for everything you did for us. Thank you for giving us a home when we needed one most, for making us feel safe, supported and loved, and for helping us through one of the hardest chapters of our lives. Heather made us feel very welcome and made sure we knew about the facilities. The room was spotlessly clean and we had a comfortable sleep. Breakfast and kitchen facilities had everything we needed. Location is ideal for being in a quieter part of town, but still having access to the rest of Gosport and Portsmouth. We would be happy to stay again if in the area.

Decent budget hotel close to Portsmouth and around 45min to Goodwood. Room was clean with an ensuite bathroom with a good shower. Parking available at rear, but also street parking too. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

I wanted to be walking distance from Gosport waterside for the shanty festival and the ferry to Portsmouth, and this location was perfect for that. The directions for arrival and parking were clear and I really liked the room and bathroom. A lovely comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, a nearby breakfast room all made for a very comfortable stay. I will definitely come back to Spring Garden House.
