About King Arthur Hotel

The King Arthur stands on the village green at Reynoldston, tucked under the sandstone ridge of Cefn Bryn in the middle of the peninsula. It has been the social centre of inland Gower for years — an award-winning pub first and an inn second, with log fires, exposed stone and a dining room that fills with walkers, locals and visitors in roughly equal measure.

Rooms are split between the main building and an annexe across the way, comfortable and traditional rather than boutique, and priced sensibly for the area. The kitchen does substantial pub cooking with Gower salt marsh lamb and local beef on the menu, and the bar keeps Welsh ales including Gower Brewery's beers. It is a popular wedding and function venue, so booking a table as well as a room is wise at weekends.

The position is the practical case for staying here. Reynoldston is roughly equidistant from both coasts, so Three Cliffs, Oxwich, Port Eynon, Rhossili and the north Gower marsh are all fifteen to twenty minutes away, and the walk up onto Cefn Bryn to Arthur's Stone starts from the edge of the village. Rates are usually noticeably lower than the beachfront properties.

We recently attended our son's wedding at the King Arthur Hotel in Gower, and the entire experience was flawless from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful, but what really made the occasion so special was the outstanding team. Every member of staff was professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was handled with efficiency and warmth. The wedding ran seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment with family and friends. From the planning and organisation through to the celebrations themselves, the service was exceptional. We cannot thank the team enough for helping to create such wonderful memories. We would highly recommend the King Arthur Hotel as a wedding venue and look forward to visiting again.

Eight of us stayed at the King Arthur for two nights last week (June 2026). • The hospitality was superb. The management team were extremely helpful and the staff who serving us during the meals, were exceptionally good, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. • The food was very tasty with an extensive menu, which was reasonably priced. • The Hotel is clearly very popular, but despite the numbers eating each night, the Hotel did not feel crowded. • The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. • There was adequate parking. • It is very reasonably priced. I feel that it is now time to start planning our next trip to the Gower and the King Arthur.

The King Arthur was the only venue we viewed before booking our wedding due to its beautiful grounds and the fact that the Avalon is one big room with a bar in, meantime we’d be able to have an intimate day with friends and family. The venue itself is located in the countryside and also close to beaches where we went for evening photos. Everyone commented on how amazing the venue was. The hard working staff did non go unnoticed by ourselves or our guests! From the groundsmen to the bar staff, every single person helped made our day amazing and nothing was too much of an ask! A special thank you to Zoe who helped bring my vision to life, I delivered my decor on the Friday, and her and the staff set everything up even better than I imagined! They could not have done more! It’s also come to my attention that this is a service that not all wedding venues offer! The rooms were well presented and clean, even the outside of the hotel was being touched up with paint and the lawns being mowed as we left. Several of our guests are already planning their return to the venue and it’s safe to say we were very sad to be leaving after the wedding was over! I couldn’t recommend this wedding venue enough!

A huge thank you to everyone at the King Arthur Hotel for making the Hann wedding such a wonderful day. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and every detail was handled with such care and professionalism. The beautiful views provided the perfect backdrop as well as the stunning venue itself. In addition to the location, it was thanks to the incredible staff who truly made the day special. A special thank you to Annelise, Nicole, Justin, Alister, Niamh, Tess, Erin and everyone else for your attentiveness, kindness, and hard work throughout the celebrations. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and your efforts helped create a memorable experience for everyone involved. We all had an amazing time and are incredibly grateful for everything you did.
