A very quaint railway station with a heritage train pulled by a steam locomotive at Aviemore, Scotland. The train has carriages for Governor's Class, 1st class and standard class. There is also a dining car. Tickets go from £26 per head (std class) upto £90 for two people (1st class). Rates even higher for Governor's Class. The train covers 2 stations after departing Aviemore and returns. The ride is scenic, smooth and coupled with tea/coffee/snacks purchasable onboard makes for a great picnic. Dogs are allowed in Std class. Round trip is 1 hour 45 mins. I could even climb into the engine to see its working while it was at the starting station. Staff are polite, warm and efficient. Worth every pound!! :-)

Such a fun and historical experience!! Definitely worth the 1:40 time investment and money! Suggest paying the extra £8 for the observation car (comes with tea/coffee and a biscuit).

Forgot to take pictures of the train and station. Nice little trek. See lots of nature and river views. We had snacks on board but didn't do the meal. It's another option. If you are into train history and steam trains it's worth taking the ride. We had 3 stops along the way. The town of Aviemore is great for shopping and lots of great restaurants.

Absolutely 💯 amazing experience! My step dad's papa used to drive these trains years ago, at 84 he never thought he would ever be able to go on one again, Well I made it happen, Aviemore is like my second home and this experience did not disappoint 👏 Staff were amazing from start to finish, extremely informative, Steam Train 🚂 was extremely smooth, you can enjoy a snack ir ever a Dram 🍻 Upgrade to different packages. Defenetly worth a visit, and I am so glad I could make his dream come True 🌟
