Ark Wildlife & Dinosaur Park

This was a really fun day out. The staff were very friendly and informative. The animals were fantastic. I did think some of the enclosures were small and looked a little run down, but I suppose that it sometimes the culture of these parks. It isn't a huge farm area, it took us about 2 hours to fully go around all of the animals. We did really enjoy the dinosaur section, they were really good fun. There is a park for the children and a cafe for refreshments. I would recommend for a family day out or those who enjoy learning about lesser known animals.

Educational, quirky and ethical! LOVE that all the animals are rescues and the park is doing their upmost to provide them with happy healthy lives whilst also educating others on the wild animal trade. All the animals seem to be provided with plenty of enrichment and although only a small park the enclosures are more than sufficient and set up with the animals welfare in mind. Again, this is a small park/rescue so do not expect a wild assortment of species... but, this just means it is actually ethical and for the betterment of the animals lives and not set up for profit. The addition of a dinosaur park/jurassic walk around lemur lake and facts about the different dinosaurs is a great addition and helps make it fun for children. I was really impressed with the attention to detail too as there are dinosaurs in the animal enclosures and all around the park. There is also 6 stamp stations scattered around the park to collect, which results in a reward if collected, again making it much more entertaining for children. All the different areas have quirky names/signs which again, adds to the interest. Aswell as lots and lots of educational information, about the wild animal trade aswell as some of the individual animals circumstances. There is a small soft play and outdoor park for children to play, a cafe, small gift shop and obviously toilets (which were lovely and clean), oh and plenty of hand-wash stations! So all in all everything you could want/need whilst out with children... ... and also everything you could really want from an animal park/sanctuary.

We were gifted an Artic Fox experience by our daughter and had a really great time. We arrived at Ark Wildlife Park early and enjoyed the time visiting all the other animals around the park. When the time came for our Experience, we were met by Cherry who led us to the ‘kitchen’ to fill the foraging bowls and then on to the fox enclosure. The family of beautiful artic foxes were very well behaved (“just don’t let them get behind you!”). We were given a tin of dog food and a spoon and took great delight feeding each fox. The hierarchy was apparent during feeding as they took their place and waited in turn, very gently taking the food from the spoon. Cherry was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and guided us through the whole experience. Would definitely recommend.

I bought a voucher for the Meet & Greet the Red Foxes for Two experience for my wife's birthday, which included our entry into the wildlife park. We had an amazing day, arriving early to walk around the park and see all the animals before our experience. It was clear from walking around just how much all the staff and volunteers care about the park and the animals' welfare, and the on-site cafe was full of delicious food all homemade by the staff. The experience itself was wonderful. The staff member who guided us through it was very welcoming and knowledgeable and we got to meet silver fox Dexter and albino fox Lana. Although they're skittish about being petted, they were both very friendly and gentle eating out of the palm of our hands (literally!) and playful. Overall we had an excellent time.
