About The Mayfair Hotel
Free on-site parking is one of the more practical draws at The Mayfair Hotel, tucked away on Albert Square in Great Yarmouth. The hotel offers straightforward coastal accommodation with easy access to the town's attractions, making it a convenient base rather than a destination in itself.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, with family rooms on offer for those travelling with children. A 24 hour reception adds flexibility for arrivals and departures, and free WiFi is included throughout. Some rooms are showing signs of wear and could do with more attentive upkeep, though the beds themselves are consistently comfortable and the staff are noted for being helpful. Pets are welcome, which suits guests travelling with dogs.
Beyond the hotel, there's plenty to fill the days: a nearby golf course, fishing spots, and watersports for the more active, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach for evenings out. Walking areas nearby make it simple to explore the surrounding coastline on foot. For those after a no-frills stay with good value at its core, The Mayfair Hotel covers the basics well.
What guests say
DO NOT STAY HERE - Ground floor apartment - even though its budget i still expect cleanliness - this place was disgusting, stunk of mould, just a joke, pee stained duvets, mould and dirty kitchen. Freezing cold. Doors unlocked so anyone can walk in. The photos do not show the real state of this hotel. Non stop noise and banging. Please read all reviews. Everything is very poor condition and dirty and smelly.

Great location, rooms are budget but it didnt show anywhere on booking.com that the rooms didnt have on-suits, shared bathrooms for most rooms - walls are paper thin also could hear the neighbours tv word for word

The apartment was in a basement, which was not disclosed in the listing. The rooms smelled strongly of damp and mold. The bedding was dirty, with visible yellow stains. The larger room with the sofa was also in very poor condition. We left our luggage and went out but after about one hour we decided that we could not stay there even for one night. These conditions are unacceptable, especially for a child. As a result, we were forced to return home, which meant a 2.5-hour journey one way. The host did not respond at all to our message informing them that we were checking out. We strongly do not recommend this property, particularly for families with children.
