About The Weatherdene
Free on-site parking is one of the most useful things about The Weatherdene, a family-run guesthouse at 2 St Johns Terrace, close to Great Yarmouth seafront and the town's attractions. It's a straightforward, practical base for a seaside stay in Norfolk, with a relaxed, homely feel rather than anything grand.
Rooms are en-suite and include family options, each fitted with a television, and guests have access to free Wi-Fi throughout. Breakfast is served each morning, and there's outdoor seating for warmer days along with 24-hour reception for flexible arrivals. The overall atmosphere is calm, making it a comfortable spot to unwind after a day out.
The surrounding area offers plenty to fill the time, with golf, fishing and watersports all nearby, alongside cycling and walking routes for those who prefer to explore on foot or by bike. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues are close at hand too, making it easy to spend an evening out without travelling far from the seafront.

Lovely and clean when I went into the hallway. The heating was on and the taxi driver even commented how nice and warm it was when he brought my bags to the door. My room was small but not compact twin bedroom which was lovely and clean as was the bathroom which was of a decent size. Kettle and tea bags coffee etc all put in the container neatly. I messaged saying bulb had gone in the table lamp and needed the TV reset no problem that was completed with a convenient time for me.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! i came here with my family expecting it to be clean but what we got was the opposite dirty windows that had not been cleaned for about 100 years there was old hard gum stuck on the headboard of the bed and dirty marks on the bedsheets and we found cockroaches behind the bed please do not come here for your safety and you family safety. the area is unpleasant with the Locals arguing and shouting through the night and the smell is disgusting there is no one in the building so you have to ring if you have any problems or questions do not recommend coming here save your money and the photos of this place are deceiving. please do not come here everything about this place is disgusting.

Disgusting place, absolutely full of dust and dirt, paid £57 a night and was advertised a double room and got a twin! Tried to sort this out and we was moved, but this was all over text! No one in building and the phone number doesn't let you call so you have to rely on this text service which was very slow. Complained about the dirt, a plate in our draw and also coffee staines on the remote! Dust literally everywhere, crisps in one of the beds and under the bed!! Looked like the sheets had just beenstraightened out and not cleaned fresh, towels were dirty. 5O deposit was asked and paid and then the day we left another 5O came out so I had to call my bank and this 'guest House's is using a subscription service so they can take money out when ever they want!! I got this cancelled by the bank! No reason for the extra 5O to come out and the woman texting made 3 different excuses as to why it came out. I would never recommend to anyone Was asked if we wanted a cleaner in the first room, but we was out so said no and she let herself in anyway! I have proof by the texts and the fact we found a spare key with our room number on the bathroom floor. The shower was broken, kept going hot to cold, and when I mean hot I mean I had to jump out cus almost blistered! Towels smelt funny Location was awful, a lot of hangs and people walking with their hoods up, very threatening and heard some awful things.

Myself and my partner stayed here for three nights… We arrived quite late into the night getting to the property was a a bit difficult as sat nav was taking us down a narrow path but we found it okay I the end we found free parking by the church. The church was very run down and is huge and this in the area looks a eyesore you can see this from the room just a eyesore really doesn’t look good The guest house has a outside garden and this was very messy and the walls peeling paint could be improved Getting into the hotel late at night was a bit of a nightmare so many keys little lights on the key boxes helped but a light by the front door would help also and a light by your room door would help also and lights hallway would also help The downstairs area foyer was lovely charming love the borrow the books or dvds Love the little buckets and spades for kids who forget or parents who want to borrow rather than buy cleaning products on display hoovers mops dusters could be put away maybe ?? The room was bright and big with lots of daytime natural light the bed was so comfortable lush sleep and this was lush as sleep is so important Waking up at 5am with the sun blaring through the curtains is not great though maybe some blackout blinds curtains could be supplied and fitted to help with that room was was warm but the fan provided helped having the window open was nice apart from when guests smoke it comes into room and the public in the area other guests tourists neighbours where loud late at night and very early in morning but that can’t be helped Fire doors slamming also don’t help and you can here people walking past room and upstairs also but failed building can’t be helped The tea coffee hot chocolate where lovely Yorkshire tea teabags lush thank-you a decent cuppa and this to me was lush as love a decent brew The room was very dirty though full of dust and this was really bad as I struggled with it as I have ocd and also breathing problems the bed headboard in between the wooden bits full of dust the lamps lampshade full the pictures and the ledges everywhere full of dust top of wardrobe was as our suitcase there and it was covered when we got down to pack the main ceiling light u could see thick dust Not enough towels but Georgina brought more and was so helpful also with the shower full of scum and needed descaling she sent her cleaning team to do it shower hose broken though and a leaky shower door so puddles of water every morning the tiniest sink struggled with that as it was tricky to brush teeth wash face shave etc don’t like the shaving socket above the fridge and the glass shelve in shower with wet toiletries bottles just slid as hit your feet or head hand wash like water and even the shower was disappointed and disgusting filthy in first morning pubes and hair in the shower and even hair and pubes in toilet and ledges also and dirty dusty also Big fridge in room humming noise But we just turned it of Love the theme rooms though And customer service is amazing and this makes the stay more pleasant So comfortable bed decent brew in room let down with dust and dirt and the thinnest sheet on mattress love the pebble theme just a shame about dirt and dust We would stay again with few improvements Door of fridge tricky to open on thick carpet Thank you
