About Holiday Inn Guildford
Holiday Inn Guildford sits just off the A3 on Egerton Road, making it one of the easiest hotels in the area to reach by car, whether arriving from London, Portsmouth or the M25. Its position slightly outside the historic centre suits guests prioritising road access and parking over a walkable town-centre location.
Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, gym and a restaurant and bar serving all-day food, along with a good number of meeting rooms that make it popular with corporate visitors to Guildford's business parks and the University of Surrey. Bedrooms follow the reliable, consistent Holiday Inn format across standard and executive categories.
It works well for families travelling by car who want a pool and straightforward parking, and for business travellers attending meetings or conferences on the edge of town, with a short drive or taxi ride into the historic centre when needed.
What guests say
A lovely hotel with comfortable beds/rooms. Very friendly, helpful staff. We were travelling on foot, so found it slightly hard to find and we would have liked more milk in the room to make tea when we arrived. Otherwise, a very enjoyable 2 night break. It was worth booking the breakfast, as it was decent quality in pleasant surroundings.

The central areas are nicely renovated. The rooms however are outdated. There is no powerplug to charge your phone next to your bed. The carpet in the halls is very outdated and has stains. Despite this: the team is fantastic. Especially Jack was extremely helpful arranging taxis for our team. Breakfast buffet is modest but sufficient.

I've always thought stayingin a place like this would be a bit stuffy and corporate, so was really happy to arrive to a very pleasant reception from the night staff, an attractive and welcoming Reception and Bar area, a lovely large room with a comfortable bed and no noisy neighbours. Sadly we were on a flying visit, so couldn't make use of the pool or gym. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and well presented and delicious food ranging from continental cold meats and cheese to belly-busting British Breakfasts. Would have loved to have stayed another night.

We stayed here for a few days. The rooms were clean and it was quiet at night. I would have liked to have a fridge and a microwave in the room. The gym was a bit lacking but it's better than nothing. They had a leg press machine, shoulder press machine and a multi press where I managed to do benchpress and a lat pulldown machine. There were also bikes and treadmills. Parking was saddly not included in the price. The food was good but the price was a little steep in my opinion. Overall it was good for what it was.
