Former Farmhouse

Photo: The Old Farmhouse

The Former Farmhouse is a six-bedroom property in rural Gwynedd, set up to handle larger groups comfortably. You get the whole place to yourself: three bathrooms, two living rooms with Freeview, and a kitchen fitted with everything needed for self-catering—cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer included. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are covered. There's parking for three cars on site and grounds with a sitting area.

The bedrooms sleep ten across different bed types: doubles, singles and bunks suitable for children. One well-behaved pet stays free. The property is a short walk from Llanbedr, where a small shop and pub serve basic needs. Dyffryn Ardudwy sits within Eryri National Park near the coast—beaches lie three miles away, and the area offers access to woodland walks, waterfalls two miles off, and larger towns like Barmouth and Harlech within easy reach. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

We have friends close by to the Old Farmhouse, we stayed there for two nights bed and breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with plush bedding, curtains and blinds. Tea and coffee facilities, a large shower room with sink and WC. Wardrobe which was big enough for a weeks stay, baskets at the bottom for storage, a fridge, and a ceiling fan with lights. The breakfasts are really tasty and beautiful with local produce, there's cereals, and fruit and yogurt, all beautifully prepared and a very tasty full breakfast to finish off with. I really want to say that Christina and Paul are the most lovely hosts, nothing is to much trouble, they are very nice people. We will be going back again, as this b and b, with the local sites is enough to take you back time and time again. Let's not forget the quite large heated pool , kept very clean and warm when in. It's a real treasure, and I hope this review will be enough to prove this is a gem of a place. It's also dog friendly, which is a bonus. We thank again Christina and Paul for a memorable stay.

We had a beautiful stay at the Farmhouse. Paul and Christina are the most kind and thoughtful hosts. Every little detail was perfect. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the breakfast each morning. We will definitely be back! 11/10!

The old farmhouse has been given a new shine of life as a modern, very well-equipped B&B, powered by renewable energy on the roof. Everything is well thought out and in the right place. And there is a swimming pool in the beautiful grounds, where dogs are also very welcome - just like everywhere else in Wales! Breakfast is prepared in front of our eyes in the open kitchen of the breakfast room, combined with nice conversations and great recommendations from the host family. This place on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park is the ideal starting point for the most beautiful area in Wales. Waterfalls, forests, endless sandy beaches (lots of fun for our dogs), castles and always nice little villages make this place an oasis of well-being.
