Dolgellau sits at the heart of Eryri National Park, where the Mawddach Estuary meets the Welsh coastline and mountain ridges rise inland. Stable Cottage occupies a quiet spot in this landscape, a two-bedroom base for exploring both the beaches and peaks. You'll have the whole property to yourself—there's no shared access—and can park on site for the duration of your stay.
The cottage sleeps four across a double bedroom and a bunk room suitable for children. Downstairs, an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a second living room upstairs. The bathroom has a bath with shower. You'll find wifi throughout, and heating is provided. Bed linen and towels are included. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost. The ground floor bedroom is accessed by two steps; the entrance itself is level. At the rear, a shared garden with patio and furniture gives you outdoor space, and a shared utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need them.
Nantcol waterfalls lie two miles away—a short drive or longer walk for families. The coast path runs along Barmouth's promenade, passing the 150-year-old railway viaduct that crosses the estuary. Harlech Castle, a UNESCO site, occupies a headland further west. For something simpler, the beach is a mile away. The cottage does not permit smoking inside.

What guests say
Loved the place. The owners have put a lot of effort and thought into creating a beautiful and cozy environment for their guests. Well equipped, very clean and tidy. Close to some great forest walks and a cycling trail. The owner, Rob, is very attentive, friendly, and always ready to help and share his recommendations about the area.

Lovely little cottages in a very peaceful location. We were well looked after with everything we needed, including firewood! Plenty of nice who's nearby and a great location from which to explore the region. Would highly recommend!
