The town itself has become known for action sports—zip-lining, underground trampolining in disused slate caverns, and downhill mountain-biking trails draw visitors year-round. A pub and shop are within quarter of a mile. The Ffestiniog Railway, which runs heritage steam trains to the coast at Porthmadog, is audible from the property and visible on day trips.
