Rhosmair
Gwynedd
Llanaber sits on Gwynedd's northern coast within walking distance of Barmouth's beach, amusements and high street. Rhosmair is a detached house set back from the road, positioned to catch sea views across its patio and from the living room's window seat. The enclosed terraced garden, furnished and sheltered, offers a retreat regardless of the weather—though the garden does include several steps.
Inside, there are four bedrooms sleeping eight: a kingsize with ensuite shower on the first floor, two doubles, and a pair of singles. The ground floor holds a second shower room and a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave; a utility room houses the washing machine and dryer. Heating, electricity, wi-fi and bed linen are included. One dog or cat can stay at no extra charge. The house is non-smoking.
From here, the Mawddach Trail—following an old railway line—runs nine miles south to Dolgellau through the foothills of Snowdonia National Park. Barmouth Bridge, five minutes' walk away, connects to the trail and the wider network of walks and cycle routes. Cader Idris, Harlech Castle, Portmeirion and various adventure sites are all within an hour's drive. The beach sits 500 yards off; the nearest pub and restaurant are a two-minute walk.
