Seaside Lodge

Seaside Lodge works well for couples or families seeking a quieter base in Gwynedd. The whole property is yours alone, with space for four across two bedrooms—a king and a double, each with original fireplaces. A second-floor games room sits above the main staircase. The bathroom has a corner bath and separate shower. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; no smoking throughout.

The ground floor holds a living room with seating and television, while the kitchen-diner opens onto the rear garden and contains everything needed for self-catering: gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. You'll find a dining table for four and breakfast bar. Two patio areas—one larger with seating, one smaller at the garden's far end—make the most of the mature, secluded grounds.

The village pub sits within a mile. Blaenau Ffestiniog and its slate caverns, railway and Zipworld are nearby. Mount Snowdon lies under 20 miles away, while several beaches—Criccieth, Harlech, Black Rock Sands—are about half an hour's drive. Hiking, mountain biking and exploring the lakes and coast suit those wanting active days. One pet is welcome.

Booked to stay there last October for a 3 night stay. The area is stunningly beautiful and the actual lodges are amazing. However, unfortunately during our stay we had to urgently leave due to a family emergancy to which we contacted the owner and explained our situation, thanked them for the lovely stay and expressed our apologies for leaving ubuptly. Before leaving - even in an emergancy - we ensured that the lodge was left tidy and presentable. When attempting to rebook this year we have been apparently "barred" from the premises due to the "state" that we left the lodge and caused alleged damage to the hot tub. When trying to contact them to see what the damage was as well as the alleged "state" the lodge was left in, we have received absolutely no evidence or even response to explain this. Please be weary about staying with them, as the owners are not accomodating if you leave due to a family emergancy. We have even offered to pay for the damage they claim took place, but haven't received a response from them. Felt like me and my partner were being discriminated against quite frankly, as no one has been able to provide any tangible evidence for our apparent ban.

Stayed at the lower lake boathouse on Monday 9th February to celebrate my birthday. I did not want to share this publicly but I do not feel either Hoseasons or the property owner took my complaints seriously. Unfortunately, we checked out early due to the following issues: 1. TV did not work properly 2. WiFi was not strong enough to use smart tv or any catch up services. 3. The towel rail in the downstairs bathroom is installed too close to the walk in shower (be very careful I burnt myself) 4. The lounge rug had no slip proof rubber matts underneath so we had to remove this before someone hurt themselves. 5. Multiple kitchen cabinets are damaged 6. Damage on the bottom of the sink (downstairs) 7. Severe limescale on shower head (downstairs) 8. Damage to bath frontage 9. Mould on shower screen (upstairs) 10. Black mould on bathroom blind 11. Hot tub has no lights + faulty jets 12. Outdoor BBQ is not usable (mold & rust)
