Ground floor means no stairs: you walk straight into an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting room, all functioning as one. The Mill has been converted thoughtfully—there's a double bedroom and a second room with two single beds, a shower room, and a sitting-out area with garden furniture. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. One car can park on site.
The setting itself is the draw. The property overlooks the River Llyfni with woodland and rural views in every direction; the grounds date back to 1776 and still function as a working mill. A sandy beach lies within five miles, and Snowdonia National Park is close enough for day trips—the Welsh Highland Railway runs scenic routes into the heart of it, and there are walking trails from the doorstep. Caernarfon Castle is accessible for a half-day out. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. The property does not permit smoking.
This suits visitors who want a peaceful base rather than constant activity, though adventurous types will find Zip World Velocity nearby and the Llyn Peninsula's beaches within reach. Shops and pubs require short drives. If you need more space, the neighbouring property Snowdon can be booked alongside Tryfan to sleep eight.

Just stayed here for a week and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. Really welcoming hosts and a lovely doggy bag on our arrival for our two dogs. Really dog friendly and would stay again.

Just returned from a week in the Snowdon cottage at The Woollen Mill and it was absolutely spot on. The place was immaculate, and we were greeted on arrival by the loveliest host — they even surprised us with a little goodie bag for our dog, which was a brilliant touch. The location is perfect for exploring North Wales, with loads of great spots only a short drive away. Would happily stay again.

Excellent accommodation. Great garden for relaxing by the river or throwing a ball for the dog. Highly recommended. We have just stayed a second time. Although the weather wasn't great, the apartment lived up to expectations. Great hosts.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the tryfan cottage at the woollen mill. Fantastic location with the stream outside and a lovely garden with lots of birds and squirrels to watch. The cottage inside is lovely and comfortable and our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Its also a very dog friendly cottage and our two slept as well as we did. We will certainly be returning.
