Watton’s - 26 Pine Lodge
Gwynedd
The Llyn Peninsula curves into the Irish Sea with long stretches of sand, rocky coves, and coastal paths that attract walkers and swimmers year-round. Grey seals breed along this shore, and the hinterland rises towards Snowdonia's peaks. 26 Pine Lodge sits on a established holiday park a short walk from the beach, surrounded by the kind of facilities and activities—from bike hire to segway rentals—that suit families wanting structure alongside freedom to explore.
The lodge itself is compact and straightforward. Three bedrooms sleep six: a double and two twin rooms upstairs, with a ground-floor bathroom and open-plan living space that includes a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Bed linen and towels are provided, as is wifi. The park's heated indoor pool is shared with other properties on the site. Parking is for two cars. One dog or cat can stay free; smoking is not permitted indoors.
Pwllheli, the peninsula's main town, lies nearby with a harbour, shops, and a golf course. Porthdinllaen beach sits within a short drive, as does Portmeirion's Italianate village and the Welsh Highland Railway at Porthmadog. Abersoch, Criccieth and Harlech—each with their own character and historic castles—are all within easy reach. Whether you want a seaside base for walking the coastal paths, a spot to pursue watersports and fishing, or somewhere to dip in and out of attractions, the location offers all three.
