Hardstanding touring pitches between the coast road and Harlech's dunes
About Min y Don Caravan Club Site
Min y Don occupies an enviable strip of coastline on Beach Road, sandwiched between the main road and Harlech's sweeping dunes. The 100 hardstanding pitches—most with electric hookup, many fully serviced—face west across the sands toward Snowdon, while Harlech Castle looms behind. It's a Caravan and Motorhome Club site strictly for tourers and motorhomes (no tents, maximum outfit 8.4 metres), but the facilities are thoughtfully done: a modern amenity block with accessible showers and baby-changing, motorhome service point, laundry, Wi-Fi, and a dedicated dog park.
The real draw is how little you need to move once pitched. The beach is across the road, Royal St David's Golf Club next door, and the castle a level ten-minute stroll into town. Some visitors note the site can feel a little regimented in layout, typical of club sites, but the position more than compensates. Open March to November, welcoming non-members, and with electric vehicle charging now available—this remains a top choice for motorhomers chasing that rare combination of medieval walls, mountain views, and direct dune access.

What visitors say
What can we say? We liked the site and area so much that we bought a static on the site! Right from arriving with our motorhome, the reception was great. Friendly, informative staff who were really approachable. Grounds are really well kept, probably the best we have seen so far. The pitch was positioned in a corner as we requested, as we have a nervous dog that can sometimes be reactive when people approach and will bark! Very clean facilities block and an excellent dog shower for washing off sand after visits to the beach (10 minutes walk away). There's a pub and a shop within a few minutes walk although we didn't visit either on this occasion. Great play area with play equipment for children and a fully fenced dog field complete with agility equipment. Look out for the eagle at the entrance, its really amazing. Walking distance to Harlech although it's a steep walk (several options, including one that suits dogs as it's away from the road). Lovely views of the castle from the site. Good pizza from a van that called on Thursday evening. For the golfers, there's a very good course nearby.

This is a lovely park, very clean, well maintained pitches and great facilities. The pitches are a little close together so when its busy, you don't have much space after the awning is up. Facilities are very good, clean and plentiful. The beach is a fair walk away and for those less mobile, once you leave the path, you have a good walk through the soft sand of the dunes before you reach the main beach. There are 5 ways to get up to Harlech from the site. We chose through the woods which is a heady climb with lots of steps but the view from the top is spectacular! The local pub, the Queens hotel is lovely, great food and a nice atmosphere. The Dog wash is a great touch, we used it at the end of the holiday to get all the beach washed off the pups before the journey home

Overall great site very well looked after. Some great views and beach in walking distance. Clean toilet block I think it’s on the expensive side given then location and amenities on site. We felt a bit on top of with been crammed in the corner pitch (if you go request to not be in one of these)

Touring caravan site is ok, it's just not great value for money. Staff were brilliant and site is fantastically maintained but for a site costing more than usual it just falls short. Toilet block is large and clean but showers are push button (about 30 seconds) and temperature can't be controlled (a cold shower in 30c+ would have been nice). Pitches all have water, waste and electric but are very crammed in. Site location is fantastic, right between the castle and beach and I'm unsure if we'd stay again.
