Holly Cottage

The shingle beach at Pett is roughly a mile away, making it reachable on foot for fossil hunting and rock pooling. A pub sits a similar distance off, while Rye—a medieval town with antique shops, galleries and restaurants—is a short drive. Battle Abbey, Hastings with its 1066 history, and Camber's sandy beach are all within reasonable reach, as is Pannel Valley Nature Reserve if you want to spot birds from the public hide.

Holly Cottage is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom detached house that sleeps nine. Downstairs has a living and dining space with French doors opening onto decking, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer all here. One ground-floor bedroom has an ensuite shower. Upstairs, three further bedrooms include two doubles (one with access to a balcony) and another with single beds; one double also has a sofa bed. The main bathroom has both a bath with shower and a separate cubicle shower. Gas central heating runs throughout, including underfloor heating on the ground floor. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, and there is space to park three cars on site.

The cottage sits back from the village road in a quiet spot with views across local farmland. A tea room is directly opposite. No smoking is permitted inside.
