You arrive at Salty Lodge to find everything on one level—living space, bedrooms and bathroom all at ground floor, with direct access from the main rooms onto a large decked area. The layout is straightforward: a living and dining space with a patio door leading straight out, a kitchen fitted for actual cooking (oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine), one bedroom with a kingsize bed and its own patio doors, a second with two singles, and a shower room. The decked sitting area at the back has garden furniture and a barbecue. An outside shower is there too. Parking for six cars is on site, and wifi and heating are included.
Four steps up to the front entrance; four steps down from the garden over a low wall onto pebble and sand beach. High tide brings swimmers; low tide brings crabbing pools. Hayling Island is known for watersports—windsurfing, kayaking, kitesurfing—with lessons available nearby and a national windsurfing event held annually. The Hayling Billy Trail runs along the former railway line. Nearby are a seaside railway and amusement park for younger visitors, plus Langstone Harbour for walks. The property does not allow smoking. Daron Motors on Hayling Island is close by if you need a car service.
