What visitors say
Lovely Museum. Lots of great stuff about weaving and spinning. Beautiful Spinning wheel and looms. Lots of interesting clear information. You can see how it has been a Town House and also the vaulted ceiling of the original Tower on the ground floor. All about craft and skill in good surroundings.

Extremely informative lady on the desk, who knew so much about the wider Hawick environment, helped to make our visit very special.

Probably the best place to get a coffee in this small town, but it closes too early (as do the shops). Best thing about it is the architecture. They turned am old stone built mill into a cafe and cultural centre, includi g a cinema.

We arrived half an hour before closing do didn't get a real chance to see it in depth but what we did see would make us go back to spend more time looking at all that's on display.

Visitors say this museum offers interesting exhibitions about weaving and spinning, including unique textile designs and historical information. They also highlight the engaging hands-on workshops for children and the helpful, informative staff.
