Great playground with a good variety of equipment including, swings, slides, trampolines, and things to climb, balance and jump off. The castle is a great centerpiece. The children love stopping here on a long journey. It's also a beautiful setting with green open spaces next to the river and lovely walks. The cafe sells a good selection of cakes and ice creams. I'm sure they sell more besides but the children are only really interested in those 😆. There are public toilets right by the cafe. The walled garden is such a lovely project with parking spaces and a viewing platform beside it, plus access to the rest of the park.

Lovely large park, lots of spaces for walking, relaxing and sport. Clean park, didn't see any dog poop for our entire walk around. Beautiful river running through the park with a small pebble beach area. Lots of interesting structures and places to see - Bandstand, water fountain, park, sports pitches, a museum and bike park. There is also a cafe with nice cakes and coffee.
