What guests say
Lovely quiet location with great local taxis that actually answer a phone call and are very reasonably priced. On site staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. Well maintained and peaceful. I had a well deserved relaxing 5 day break and recommend Tolroy manor.

I recently stayed with my family at 48 Trevithick Court, Tolroy Manor Holiday Park, and unfortunately, our experience fell well below expectations. The overall cleanliness of the property was disappointing from the moment we arrived. There were cobwebs throughout the house, dust on many surfaces, and the floors were visibly dirty. The property also had a strong, damp, mouldy smell that lingered throughout our stay, to the point where it genuinely smelt like something had died inside the property. One of the biggest concerns was the number of slugs indoors. We found a slug in the downstairs shower on the first day, another next to the downstairs toilet, and then another slug appeared in the same downstairs bathroom on the second day. We also saw spiders running across the living room floor, which further suggested that the property had not been cleaned or maintained to an acceptable standard. The bathrooms also showed signs of poor upkeep. There were visible black spots that appeared to be mould around the edges of the shower floor, which was unhygienic and unpleasant to see. The downstairs bathroom sink tap was so powerful that it sprayed water everywhere like a jet wash, and the bathroom extractor fan was extremely loud. The condition of some of the furnishings also left a lot to be desired. Some of the window blinds were broken, the clothes hangers provided were of poor quality, and one of the pillows had visible mould inside it. Finding mould in bedding is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene and maintenance. Several facilities either didn't work properly or were inconvenient to use. The television wasn't working when we arrived, and we were left to troubleshoot it ourselves. The fridge wasn't properly cold when we arrived, and we had to adjust the temperature setting ourselves to make it cold enough to store our food properly. The listing would also benefit from being clearer about what is and isn't provided. There was no Wi-Fi available, and the mobile signal in the area was extremely poor, making it difficult to stay connected. There was no air conditioning, which made the property uncomfortable during warmer weather. Only a tiny bar of soap was provided for hand washing, which was nowhere near sufficient for our group. The bedroom layout was also an issue. One of the twin bedrooms is exceptionally small, making it very difficult for two adults to move around, especially when trying to store and access two suitcases. From a safety perspective, I could not find a carbon monoxide alarm anywhere in the property. I also did not notice any visible security cameras around the exterior, which made the property feel less secure, particularly when returning in the evening. Finally, I was surprised by the checkout requirements. We were instructed to strip the bedding from all six beds we had used and place all of the sheets in the shower before leaving. While I appreciate that some hosts ask guests to do basic tidying, this felt excessive given that a cleaning fee is charged. There were a few positives. The reception staff at the holiday park were friendly and welcoming, and there was good parking available close to the property. The shower had excellent water pressure, and Hayle Beach is only a short drive away. We especially enjoyed visiting around sunset when the tide had gone out, revealing a much larger stretch of sand to walk along. It was a beautiful place to spend the evening. Overall, 48 Trevithick Court needs significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, hygiene, and guest facilities. While the surrounding area has plenty to offer, the condition of this accommodation meant we were unable to fully relax and enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

Bed linen was covered in dirt & hairs, shower fixings coming apart & not much to do in the park overall. Childrens play area is falling apart & in the tiny arcade half the machines aren't on. No entertainment in the evenings. Good points are food in the restaurant was amazing & grass is cut & outside areas are clean & tidy. Some staff are friendly although a few look miserable! We won't be visiting again.

We had a week here, staying in a private owned chalet which was clean, well stocked and a pleasure to stay in. The park itself is well maintained. You have to book the pool in advance and its in one hour time slots, as it opens at 10am and closes at 4 these get booked up really fast… its a small pool so expect it to be full of screaming kids in the busy season! No entertainment, and the bar doesn't have a tv on even when the world cup was on! Closes at 10pm and its blatantly obvious why its empty… no food served here on our stay but you can get takeaways delivered. A pizza truck and fish n chip wagon turn up once a week, but you’ll take it back to your accommodation as the bar is soulless. Got poured a Guinness and it was half head, was told the pump was lively and it was the best I’d get… bar staff that really dont want to be there and are just going through the motions!
