What visitors say
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really enjoyed my visit to the Streetlife Museum in Kingston upon Hull. It was one of my favourite places we visited while we were in Hull. I wasn't expecting there to be so much to see, and before I knew it we'd spent ages looking around. My favourite part was walking through the old-fashioned street. It genuinely felt like stepping back in time, with the old shops, houses and cobbled roads. I also loved seeing all the different vehicles, especially the vintage trams, buses, cars and bicycles. It's amazing to see how transport has changed over the years. One thing I really liked was that there was a mixture of things you could just look at and things you could interact with. It made the museum much more interesting than just reading information boards all the way around. Everything was clean, well looked after and easy to find, and the displays were set out in a way that made you want to keep exploring. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was a nice atmosphere throughout the museum. It never felt rushed, and we could take our time looking at everything. The best thing is that it's completely free to visit. You get so much for a free attraction, and I honestly think it's one of the best museums I've been to. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hull, whether you're interested in history or just looking for something different to do. I would happily go back again because I'm sure there are things I missed the first time.

This is a wonderful and well kept museum with a fascinating look into the local past. Over two floors, there is plenty to keep interests going throughout the visit. Very friendly staff, good toilet facilities, gift shop, no cafe but there are food/coffee outlets in the old town. This is free entry remember and as a bonus, Wilberforce House is next door one side and Archaeology on the other - all free! Thoroughly recommended

We had a very interesting and informative morning visiting the museum! We didn’t really know what to expect, but it surpassed our expectations! There’s plenty of vehicles to look at and some you can go in! We particularly like the carriage simulator which gave us an insight of what it was like to travel in horse and carriage! There’s lots of different sections to explore and lots of memorabilia to see! It’s free entry, but no cafe. So worth bringing a picnic to have in the lovely gardens at the front!

The streetlife museum is a lovely attractions showcasing lots of old transport and a recreated old street. I absolutely loved this museum, as did my mum, dad and nan. So every generation can enjoy it. The museum is free but there's an arcade area with lots of old games for just 20p and then a vintage car ride you can do for £1. Great value. Lots to see and take photos of. Highly recommend if you're in Hull!
