Clifford Place Cottages - Easterley
Herefordshire, County of
View on Google MapsClifford Place Cottages is a character semi-detached cottage built into the Herefordshire countryside, positioned on a quiet lane between the village of Clifford and Priory Wood hamlet. The building sits above the Wye Valley, roughly three-quarters of a mile from the Black Mountain and within reach of Brecon Beacon National Park. Hay-on-Wye, famous for its bookshops and May literary festival, lies two miles away; Hereford Cathedral City is about twenty miles further for a larger day out.
The ground floor contains an open-plan living space with a 32-inch smart TV and electric woodburner, a dining area, and a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge-freezer all present. A utility room with washing machine and separate toilet completes this level. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a double (4ft 6in), a three-quarter double (4ft), and a single (3ft), served by a bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail. Oil central heating and electricity are included, along with bed linen, towels and wi-fi. The property sleeps four and comes with private parking for two cars.
One small dog stays free of charge and has access to adjoining woodlands and a field for exercise, though the cottage itself has no garden. Guests arriving with young children will find a highchair and stairgate available. No smoking throughout. The water supply comes from a natural spring on the property.
