About Cherry Trees Farm

Cherry Trees Farm sits in quiet countryside near Hesket Newmarket, offering two camping pods that each come with their own private hot tub – perfect for soaking under the stars after a day exploring the northern Lakes. Both pods welcome dogs, and campfires are allowed on site, adding to the rural, back-to-basics feel. Facilities cover the essentials – showers, toilets, drinking water – though there's no WiFi, which suits those after a proper digital detox.

The setting gives you easy access to Caldbeck and the northern fells without the crowds of Keswick or Windermere. It's a straightforward, family-friendly spot that does what it promises: a relaxed base with a touch of luxury from those hot tubs, ideal if you want somewhere low-key to unwind between walks.

Great location and service. We were there at the time of Storm Dave. As it got worse at night, Alan was so kind to offer us a guest bedroom at his house. The place will stay in our heart forever. Highly recommend for a staycation

What an absolute little gem of a site! We had a fantastic night's stay in one of the cabins for my 30th birthday. Alan was kind enough to leave us a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and was super helpful making sure everything was ready for our stay. The cabins are lovely and cozy, there's an electric heater provided and power points available. Nice comfy bed, linens & towels provided. There is also an external shed right by the cabin housing a small kitchen, shower & toilet. Gorgeous view from the cabin, belting sunset (even despite the rain we had!) and a great spot for stargazing. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side this time but it didn't dampen our time or stop us enjoying the hot tub! Incredible value for money without compromise on hospitality. Thanks again Alan for a lovely little getaway, we will certainly be back soon 🥰

WOW!!! This was an awesome holiday in such a beautiful place. We stayed in Cabin 3 Alan was so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The Lazy Spa was beautifully maintained, the shower was toasty, kitchen area had everything you need and the composting toilet well maintained also. Great facilities. Waking up to a view of Carrock Fell and High Pike...both of which we climbed, was awesome. I'd highly recommend staying here to climb the Northern Fells, but equally a relaxing holiday with overlooking fells makes for the perfect stay. We will definitely be visiting again. 😁

Lovely campsite ran by the lovely Alan! Alan was really welcoming and friendly, available easily by mobile phone. Showers were hot, washing up facilities as well. Pitch was flat. We were able to get a fire pit as well as some wood so had a lovely fire.
