Bings Farm House

Whaley Bridge's town centre—with its range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants—lies within walking distance of Bings Farm House, a stone farmhouse set within its own grounds on a working farm. The property sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: two with kingsize beds and one with single beds. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower cubicle.

The ground floor centres on a fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, flowing into a dining area and a sitting room with woodburner and comfortable seating. A utility room houses a washing machine and dishwasher. Upstairs, the bedrooms are accessed via a galleried landing. Outside, an enclosed rear garden and separate flagged terrace both have seating and tables. The property includes wifi, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the woodburners; electricity and gas central heating are covered. Parking for three cars is on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. The farmhouse does not permit smoking.

🌿 Shepherds Cottage: A Gracious Reflection on a Short Stay. Shepherds Cottage at Bings Farm, Whaley Bridge proved to be a beautifully proportioned haven — a place where comfort, charm, and thoughtful design come together with quiet confidence. The décor was delightful throughout, and the kitchen facilities were nothing short of excellent. The beds deserve special mention: wonderfully comfortable, inviting, and restful — even if mine made me feel about nine feet tall as I stretched out like some lanky giant. A perfect picture window offered my mother an inspiring vantage point for her painting, framing the landscape as though it were composed solely for her brush. The local sheep, however, made their feelings abundantly clear. They spent much of the stay reminding my two fur idiots that their barking was neither impressive nor appreciated. A polite standoff, you might say. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, striking that rare balance of warmth and unobtrusive hospitality. It is difficult to imagine this being our only visit; in truth, I suspect we shall return before long. Thank you for a truly lovely short break.

Lovely farmhouse stay, on Smallholding close to Whaley Bridge and a good location to explore the Peak District from. Cosy log burning stoves in both dining/kitchen and living room. All clean and tastefully decorated. Nice little garden and spectacular outlook. Owners are friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay here, we had everything we needed. Although the cottage is only a 5 minute walk from Whaley Bridge you feel in the middle of the countryside, with views across the valley. Plenty of lovely walks nearby

Great location, incredibly clean and comfortable cottage. Great base for exploring Peak District. Hopefully we get to return as had to cut short our trip due to a family emergency.
