Calico Cottage

Calico Cottage is a one-bedroom retreat on a working farm in the High Peak, with direct access to National Trust land at the start of the Great Ridge Walk. The cottage sleeps two in a king-size bed, with one bathroom upstairs. Downstairs, a combined living and dining room opens onto an outdoor seating area—useful for summer evenings, though the wood burner (with initial fuel supplied) handles the cooler months. A fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can manage laundry during a longer stay.

WiFi, bed linen and towels are all included. There is parking for one car on site. A pub sits less than a mile away; the village itself, with three more pubs, three cafés and shops, is about a mile further. Castleton's caverns and castle are two miles off; Chatsworth, Buxton and Bakewell all fall within twelve miles. The property does not permit smoking. Please note there are steep spiral stairs to the first floor bedroom.
