Fern Spree
High Peak
Built into a former detached residence, Fern Spree retains the character of its period origins while offering the comfort of a contemporary holiday apartment. It occupies the entire first floor, reached by 12 steps, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms ensuring privacy and space for four guests. Both bedrooms have super kingsize beds with en-suite facilities—one offers a bath, the other a shower cubicle.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering: electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer mean you can manage everything from a simple breakfast to a full week's laundry. The living room has a 55" smart TV and Blu-ray player for quieter evenings. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; one car can park on site, with additional road parking nearby. No smoking throughout.
Buxton itself sits at the gateway to the Peak District, a short walk away, with shops 100 yards distant and a pub within a mile. The town's spa heritage, architecture and year-round events—including the Buxton Festival Fringe each July—draw regular visitors, while walking routes to Solomon's Temple and beyond offer High Peak views. Bakewell, Castleton and Edale are within reasonable driving distance for day trips.
