Marl Barn is a converted farm building sleeping four in two double bedrooms, with a bathroom upstairs and the main living spaces below. Everything needed for a self-catering break is provided: electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels all come as standard, plus initial logs for the wood burner. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave, so cooking from scratch is straightforward. A utility room is useful for boots and outdoor kit after days on the hills.
The barn sits on a working farm between Glossop and Chapel-en-le-Frith, surrounded by countryside typical of this part of the Peak District. Two cars can park on site. One dog stays free. Walking starts from the property—the Pennine Way is accessible, and Kinder Scout is nearby. Hayfield village has pubs and cafés; the market towns of Glossop and Buxton are a short drive away. The area suits walkers and cyclists particularly well, with the rolling moorland and stone walls of the High Peak on the doorstep.
