The Hayloft occupies three floors of a converted barn adjoining the owners' farmhouse, positioned high on the hills between Charlesworth and Glossop. The setting commands panoramic views across Kinder Scout and the surrounding moorland. A double bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower cubicle, and a separate living room sit above a kitchen with full cooking facilities and dining space. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included; there's parking for two cars on site and a bike store for exploring on two wheels.
Two dogs stay free here, though the surrounding farmland means they need to stay on a lead. The location sits just 100 yards from the Pennine Bridleway, which runs directly from the farm track, and the Peak District's walking routes radiate outward in all directions. The area draws people for access to Kinder Scout and the wider landscape, but the working farm itself adds something different—the owners actively share knowledge about farming life with guests who are interested. Charlesworth village is five minutes away by car; Glossop, with its shops and Manchester train link, takes ten minutes; Hayfield, a traditional walker's hub, is also roughly ten minutes' drive.

Love this place!! It'd the second time we have stayed here and it's still as good. Perfect spot to stay and explore the Peak District from. The log burner in the lounge area makes it really cosy in the evenings. The hosts are great and very hospital to the fact we have 3 dogs. Good quality furniture, appliances and plenty of space with 2 en suite bathrooms. Will definitely be back again next year. We left a day early due to the heavy snow forecast for tomorrow, it's slightly off the beaten track and up a steep incline so access would be an issue if you're car isn't good in snow.

Nice open space accommodation which is well kept for the most part. Very cold in cooler weather which the heating struggles to cope with; there is a log burner but you have to supply the logs and clean it out. Be careful of the access road as it is single track and no passing places. Also badly maintained with deep potholes and overgrown at the sides.
