The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, and there's a woodburner and smart TV for downtime. Initial fuel for both the range and woodburner is included, along with bed linen, towels and wifi; parking for four cars is on site and pets stay free.

The cottage sits on the edge of the Peak District, where walking starts on the doorstep. Bugsworth Basin and the canal towpath to Whaley Bridge are less than a mile away; Edale and Castleton caves, Chatsworth House and the spa town of Buxton are all reachable for day trips. For quieter moments, pubs are within half a mile. The grounds have some drops, so worth noting if you're visiting with young children. No smoking inside.
