About The Old Inn Staffin

Anyone basing themselves in the north of Skye for walking, fishing or a slow tour of the coast will find The Old Inn Staffin a practical option. It sits a short distance from An Corran Beach and offers straightforward hotel rooms with en-suite bathrooms, some looking out to sea, making it a reasonable stop after a day on the hills or the shore.

Rooms come with drinks available and access to a kitchen, and there's a garden with outdoor seating for taking in the surroundings when the weather allows. Free WiFi and free on-site parking are provided, along with 24 hour reception, so arrival times and day trips are easy to plan around. Pets are welcome, which suits those travelling with a dog for the walking routes nearby.

There's a pub, bar and restaurant nearby for evening meals, and the area offers fishing and further walking country on the doorstep. It's a no-frills base rather than a destination in itself, best suited to guests who want a comfortable place to return to after exploring Staffin and the wider Trotternish peninsula.

Amazing historic home...cozy, well equipped, views were stunning. Easy walk down to black sand beach. Would recommend to anyone looking for a private oasis.

Absolutely loved staying here. Callum made sure we were comfortable and happy. A beautiful, peaceful place to chill and enjoy spending quality family time; playing cards and having a drink on an evening and late mornings with brunch around the kitchen table before our day sightseeing. Highly recommend and the decor and unusual ornaments added to its charm.

Didn't stay but got lost and stumbled upon what looked like a lovely b&b. Can only think the owner came out and started shouting and screaming about it private property. Apologised and tried to explain the issue but she wasn't letting me speak. Horrible woman and put a MASSIVE damper on the first day of my holiday

I really should not tell you this, as I would rather have that beautiful place all to myself! The Old Inn at Staffin is PERFECT! I felt like we had stepped back in time. The setting,on a hill overlooking the Staffin Bay and the village was spectacular. It was easy to appreciate from the glass sun room off the back of the house. That room alone was worth the rental. Big comfy couch looking out over the hills where the moon rises above the mountains. The house is larger than the pictures make it seem. Beautiful shades of grey stone, dark wood and glass. Large , well-equipted kitchen. Great living room with two leather couches, big wooden coffee table, flat screen wall TV, stereo, DVD player, wood stove and iron candleabra (My favorite room!) Soft, flame colored textures painted walls. Large dining room with fireplace and beautiful wooden table seats 8. Windows in the dining room and living room look out out the village in the distance. Three bedrooms upstairs with views of the bay and the village. Nice, comfortable beds with plush quilts. Two bathrooms, one up and one down. Upstairs bathroom has the best long soaking tub ever!. Calum, the owner was delightful to deal with. He left us a bottle of white wine and shortbread on the kitchen table when we arrived and provided any information we required. He always responded swiftly to all questions. The only problem with this place is that now I am back in the US and it's still on Skye :-( Best rental I have ever had! Thank-you Calum!
