You arrive at Colbheinn Cottage to find a property built for groups. Four bedrooms spread across two floors give everyone their own space: two super kingsize beds, a twin room, and a single, with two bathrooms to share. Downstairs, the living and dining area opens onto an enclosed garden where a table seats seven, and a woodburner takes the edge off Highland evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer included—so you can eat in or out as you prefer.

The cottage sits on the edge of Brora, a fishing village with genuine working life beyond the holiday season. The beach is walkable, as is the golf course, harbour, and local shops. A distillery is within reach if spirits are your thing. There is private parking for two cars and an enclosed rear garden with room to breathe. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside, and the essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered.
