East Lewiston is a semi-detached cottage built from stone, with character evident in its exposed stone walls and the wood-burning stove that anchors the living room. The building sits in Drumnadrochit, a village on the edge of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands, within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants. Three bedrooms and one bathroom occupy two floors; there's a zip-and-link king (or twin on request) in bedroom one, a double in bedroom two, and a single in bedroom three, sleeping five in total. Downstairs, the kitchen comes equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave—while the living room has Freesat and the warmth of that wood burner.
The cottage is yours alone, with parking for two cars on site and an enclosed lawned garden for sitting out. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; logs for the fire are available to buy locally. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The location works as a base for visiting Urquhart Castle, exploring the glens that radiate from the village, taking boat trips on the loch, or driving further afield to Skye or the whisky trail along the Moray coast. Smoking is not permitted inside.
