Easter Dalziel Farm Cottages - Rowan Cottage

Photo: Easter Dalziel Farm Cottages

The Moray Firth coast lies less than a mile from Easter Dalziel Farm, a working property set between Inverness and Nairn where Highland cattle graze the surrounding pasture. Rowan Cottage is one of three stone farm buildings, 19th-century conversions arranged around shared gardens with countryside views on every side. Inverness itself is ten minutes east; sandy beaches at Nairn and Rosemarkie are a short drive, and bottlenose dolphins inhabit these waters year-round.

Ground-floor accommodation throughout means three bedrooms (one double, two singles), a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living and dining space with an original mid-20th-century stove. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are all included; there is parking for one car on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.

The shared garden wraps around the property with seating areas looking out over the fields. This is a solid base for exploring the Highlands—Loch Ness is a thirty-minute drive from here—or simply for a quieter break surrounded by rural space and coastal access.

We stayed in the aire in our moho, convenient for the airport, not many planes flying over, but some are loud first thing in the morning.

Really lovely peaceful stay. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. House itself was well laid out and as we stayed over Easter, they had left out an Easter egg hunt box and some local delicacies which was very much appreciated. Situated five minutes from Inverness.

When we arrived we were greeted with a cottage which had been meticulously cleaned.it was spacious, well furnished with all amenities in good working order. Our stay at pine cottage was further enhanced by the beautiful gardens and play apporatus for the kids, fantastic views also. !!
