🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Eilean Beag

An island location on Loch Linnhe puts this two-bedroom cottage within reach of Fort William's outdoor activities, yet far enough removed to feel separate from the bustle. The Caledonian Canal runs nearby, and the loch itself dominates the setting—water views and wildlife-spotting are part of daily life here rather than a bonus. The village has a shop and pub 300 yards away, with a restaurant another 100 yards on, so you're not entirely remote.

The single-storey layout gives you an open-plan living space with a sitting area and separate dining zone, both with Freeview TV. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge and washing machine, so cooking and laundry are straightforward. One bedroom holds a double bed, the other two singles. There's a shower room with a cubicle shower. A stream runs through the garden, and you have a sitting-out area with furniture and covered parking for two cars. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the heating is oil central. The property is no-smoking.

From here you can reach the Aonach Mor mountain gondola, the Corran ferry across to Ardnamurchan, Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Isle of Skye without long drives. The famous Jacobite steam train (the Harry Potter train) also runs from Fort William. It suits groups or families wanting countryside and water on their doorstep, with easy access to Highland attractions.
