Glenrossal Cottages - Rowan Cottage
Highland
The Glenrossal estate sits on the River Cassley, a renowned Highland salmon river, and Rowan Cottage is one of two stone cottages converted from the original farm buildings. The property looks out over countryside with direct access to the estate's own fishing beats—a 2½-mile stretch where six rods are available Monday to Saturday, plus a small loch behind the cottages for practice or beginners. One dog stays free.
The cottage holds three bedrooms (a single downstairs, a kingsize and two singles upstairs) and one bathroom, sleeping up to five people. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with an open fire, a separate dining area, and a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with fuel for the fire. There is parking for two cars on site and an enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area shared with the neighbouring cottage.
A utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer sits between the two properties. The water supply comes from a borehole, and the river runs about 20 yards from the cottage. No smoking in the property. This suits people wanting a quiet rural base—whether for fishing, walking, or simply time away—rather than a holiday focused on attractions or entertainment.
